Curator's note

RoboCop, created by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner for Paul Verhoeven's 1987 film, built from Detroit police officer Alex Murphy after his near-fatal shooting in the line of duty. Rebuilt by Omni Consumer Products as part man, part machine, he retains fragments of Murphy's memory beneath the directives meant to erase them. Iron Studios' Deluxe Art Scale statue restages one of the film's most recognized poster images, with the standard edition setting him alone atop a futuristic pedestal, fist clenched.
