Albert and Elsie-Dee, created by Larry Hama and Marc Silvestri, debuting in Wolverine (vol. 2) #37-38 (1990-91). Albert is a robot double built to assassinate Wolverine, armored and clawed like the man he was designed to replace; Elsie-Dee is the childlike android who upgraded his primitive mind and named him after Einstein. Sent to kill, the pair instead abandoned their mission after meeting their target and became his unlikely allies.
