Weapon X (Wolverine 50th Anniversary)

Curator's note

Wolverine, created by Len Wein, John Romita Sr. and Herb Trimpe, first appearing in The Incredible Hulk #180 (1974). Logan's defining trauma came at the hands of the Weapon X program, which bonded unbreakable adamantium to his skeleton and claws, a story told in full in Barry Windsor-Smith's 1991 Weapon X serial. This piece marks the character's 50th anniversary, showing him in the restraints and gear of that black-ops origin.
