Aquaman Deluxe

Curator's note

Arthur Curry, created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, first surfacing in More Fun Comics #73 (1941) as the son of a lighthouse keeper and an Atlantean queen. Modern Age stories pushed him toward a harder edge, most notably the loss of his left hand to piranhas during a battle with the villain Charybdis, after which he wore a harpoon in its place. Iron Studios' Deluxe Art Scale edition expands the base figure with additional environmental elements, the King of Atlantis posed mid-surge from the water.
