Blob

Curator's note

The Blob, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first appearing in X-Men #3 (1964). Fred Dukes was a circus performer before Charles Xavier came calling; spurned, he turned his gravity-warping immovability and blubbery, bulletproof hide against the X-Men as a founding member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. His one real weak point, fittingly, is his own unprotected face.
